Privacy policy
The short version: completed assessments are saved securely under a random ID without your name or contact details attached. Your identity stays separate unless you choose to connect it or enter clinical care.
Effective July 30, 2026
Your assessment
Every completed Recovery Load Assessment is sent to Explorer Health and stored under a random assessment ID. We store your answers, calculated results, completion time, the consent and assessment versions, and limited acquisition context such as a campaign tag or referring site. We do not attach your name, email address, phone number, advertising ID, or clinical identity to that record.
We use these de-identified, pseudonymous responses to generate your results, improve the assessment, and understand what people need. Calling the data de-identified does not mean it is impossible to re-identify in every circumstance; it means direct identity is not stored with the assessment.
Identity separation
Assessment responses, optional account credentials, marketing contact details, and identity-verified clinical records are maintained as separate record types. Linking an assessment to an Explorer account remains pseudonymous. Connecting contact details requires an explicit action from you. Clinical care requires verified identity for labs, prescribing, payment, and legally required medical documentation.
Optional account access
Explorer Health provides two email- and phone-free access options: an Explorer ID using a pseudonymous username and passphrase, or a site-specific passkey. A passkey lets Explorer Health receive a credential ID and public key—not your biometrics or Apple or Google identity. Your operating system or password manager may store or synchronize that credential. Recovery uses a one-time offline recovery code or a second registered credential.
Contact details
Email is collected only when you enter it into an access or updates form. It is stored in a separate contact record and is not included in the assessment payload. An email or phone number is not required to complete the assessment.
Security and infrastructure
Assessment and contact records are encrypted in transit and at rest. Vercel hosts the site and application endpoints; Supabase provides encrypted database storage. These service providers process only the information needed to operate Explorer Health. We minimize use of IP addresses in application code and do not write an IP address or full user-agent string into an assessment record. Hosting providers may retain limited security logs under their own contractual retention settings.
Analytics
Google Analytics measures page visits and coarse funnel steps. Assessment answers, substance selections, scores, result bands, assessment IDs, and contact details are not sent to Google Analytics. Analytics storage is off until you accept it, advertising storage remains off, and the site works if you decline.
How we use and share data
We do not sell personal or assessment data to advertisers or data brokers, and we do not use assessment responses to build advertising profiles. We disclose data only to contracted service providers operating Explorer Health, at your direction, or when legally required. Explorer Health does not automatically share your assessment or clinical record with a regular doctor, employer, or insurer.
Clinical records
The educational assessment does not by itself create a clinician-patient relationship. If you enter clinical care, verified identity and a medical record are required. Clinical records have separate health-privacy, retention, and legally required disclosure rules.
Private AI
Explorer Health's Private AI supports confidential navigation and longitudinal care. Conversations are excluded from public-model training, with controlled retention and deletion. Private AI supports—but does not replace—clinical judgment.
Your choices
Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. To request access to, correction of, or deletion of a contact or linked record, write to privacy@explorerhealth.co. A record stored without identity may be difficult to locate unless you can provide its random assessment ID. We respond according to applicable law and any required clinical retention rules.
Age
This site is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18, and we delete it if we learn we have.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will update the effective date above and explain the change in plain language.
