Privacy
Privacy policy
Privacy is the reason this company exists, so this policy is written to be read. The short version: your assessment answers never leave your device, your email is used only for updates you asked for, and we never sell or share your data with your doctor, employer, or insurer.
Effective July 13, 2026
What we collect
Email address — only when you type it into an access or updates form. Every email field on this site is optional unless marked otherwise.
Basic usage analytics — which pages are visited, which buttons are clicked, and how far people get through the assessment (for example, “question 4 was answered”), via Google Analytics Consent Mode. Until you accept analytics, or if you decline, analytics storage stays off and Google receives cookieless measurement signals. Accepting analytics allows Google Analytics cookies on this device. Advertising storage stays off in either case. This tells us whether the site works. It does not include your answers.
Technical basics — IP-derived rate limiting on form submissions and a browser-generated random ID that lets us de-duplicate repeat signups. Neither is linked to your identity.
What never leaves your device
Your assessment answers — which substances you use, how often, and everything else you tell the Recovery Load Assessment — are processed and stored in your own browser. They are not transmitted to our servers, to Google, or to anyone else. Closing your browser session clears them. Analytics receives only the coarse result band (such as “Moderate”), never your answers and never the specific substances involved.
What we will never do
We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers, data brokers, employers, insurers, or your doctor. We do not build advertising profiles. If you request access, you will hear from us about Explorer Health and nothing else.
Who processes data on our behalf
Vercel (site hosting), Supabase (secure storage of requested-access emails), and Google Analytics (aggregate usage measurement). Each receives only what it needs to do its job. If we add an email provider to send the updates you request, it will hold your email address for that purpose only.
Not a medical record
The assessment and educational content do not themselves create a medical record or clinician-patient relationship, and they do not replace individualized medical care. Clinical services use their own enrollment and health-privacy protections.
Your choices
Every email we send will include an unsubscribe link. To have your email removed from our records entirely, write to privacy@explorerhealth.co and we will delete it within 30 days. You can block analytics with standard browser tools or Google’s opt-out; the site works fine without it.
Age
This site is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18, and we delete it if we learn we have.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will update the effective date above and say what changed in plain language. We will not quietly weaken it.
